HP Type 84 (black) and 85 (color) ink jet cartridges are used in wide-format printers such as the DesignJet® 30, 90 and 130 series ink jet printers.
Each printer uses six ink cartridges (cyan, light cyan, magenta, light magenta, yellow, black). Ink capacity varies by color, with cyan and magenta being 28 ml and the remaining four colors, 69 ml. Other user replaceable supplies include six user-replaceable print heads.
All models ship with a set of printheads and cartridges. Each ink cartridge requires a chip for correct printer operation.
